Best of Central Coast
Vegan and Vegetarian Dining on the Central Coast NSW
The Central Coast's plant-based dining scene has grown alongside its population, with options now distributed across the main centres and beach townships. Terrigal village has the strongest concentration of health-conscious cafes with plant-based menus on the coast. Gosford CBD has several cafes catering to the working lunch crowd with good vegetarian options. The Entrance waterfront has casual cafes with vegetarian items. East Gosford has a small cluster of health food cafes and specialty stores. Locally run Asian restaurants, particularly Thai and Indian, across the region generally accommodate vegan requests well. The Gosford Growers Market on Saturday mornings has local organic produce ideal for self-catering. Several bakeries across the region have expanded their vegan pastry offering in recent years. As the plant-based movement has entered the mainstream, most cafes and restaurants across the region now carry at least some vegetarian options; checking current menus before visiting is the practical approach.
