Central Coast Suburbs Guide: From Gosford to Umina Beach
The Central Coast stretches about 80 kilometres from Hornsby in the south to Lake Macquarie in the north, with the main residential areas clustered around Gosford and Wyong. Gosford is the administrative centre, with a train station and a CBD undergoing ongoing development. East Gosford and Narara are popular family suburbs close to the city. To the east, the Peninsula suburbs of Woy Woy, Umina Beach and Ettalong Beach sit on a finger of land between Brisbane Water and Broken Bay, with a relaxed beach town character. Avoca Beach, Terrigal and Wamberal are the desirable surf beach suburbs. The northern end of the coast around Wyong, Long Jetty and The Entrance has a more affordable residential market with access to the lake system. Tuggerah, around the large Westfield, is a key commercial and residential hub between Gosford and Wyong.
