Dog-Friendly Central Coast: Beaches, Parks and Off-Leash Walks

The Central Coast is a dog-friendly region, with a good network of off-leash beach sections, reserves and parks spread across its coastal and lake geography. Several beaches have designated off-leash sections at specific low-traffic hours, typically early morning and after 5pm in summer, and more flexible access outside the patrolled summer season. Popular dog-friendly beaches include sections of MacMasters Beach, Killcare Beach and Avoca Beach during off-peak hours. Wyrrabalong National Park and Brisbane Water National Park have leash-required tracks popular with dog-walking owners. Gosford's Kibble Park and several lakeside reserves have off-leash zones. Central Coast Council publishes current off-leash area designations and beach access rules on its website. Several cafes in Terrigal, The Entrance and Avoca have outdoor seating welcoming leashed dogs.
