Bars and Nightlife on the Central Coast: Where to Go After Dark
The Central Coast's nightlife is spread across the region's main centres and the beach townships, with Gosford, Terrigal and The Entrance being the most active areas. Gosford's Mann Street and the surrounding streets have the region's highest concentration of bars and live music venues. Terrigal's beach area has several bars in the Crowne Plaza complex and surrounding Terrigal Esplanade strip that are popular with visitors and northern suburbs locals on weekends. The Entrance waterfront has a more casual pub and bar culture. Erina and Tuggerah have suburban RSL and sports club facilities that serve as social hubs for the larger residential catchments. The Central Coast has a strong RSL club culture, with Mingara Recreation Club at Tumbi Umbi and Ettalong Diggers on the Gosford waterway being the largest. Several craft beer taprooms have opened in the region. School holiday and summer periods see beach township bars significantly busier; booking for Terrigal venues is advisable at peak times.
