The timing places the college at the centre of local attention because its athletes are advancing through new academy routes while council-funded projects reshape the grounds they use.

Facility upgrades tied to local clubs

Central Coast Council maintains 164 sporting areas that include 74 soccer fields. New amenities opened at Buff Point and Halekulani Ovals in early 2025 after a $2.8 million NSW Government grant replaced older buildings. Construction continues at Frost Reserve in Kincumber on a 370 square metre amenities block due for completion by early 2026, and an $11 million program is adding lighting, drainage and irrigation to 16 sportsgrounds to extend playing time.

Niagara Park Stadium is also receiving a $2.8 million upgrade for better accessibility, with work scheduled to finish by October 15.

Direct pathways from college to professional level

The college formed a partnership with Central Coast Mariners to give female footballers a full-time training environment that leads to the NPLW program. Seventeen-year-old student Eliza Familton has already moved into the Mariners academy on a scholarship deal.
