Central Coast Sports Roundup: Recent Results and Field Developments
Central Coast Sports College marked leadership and competition updates while upgraded venues supported local play across multiple ovals.
How we reported this

Central Coast Sports College announced a new principal on July 15, 2025, the same period when its boys' and girls' soccer teams secured dual CIS Cup grand final victories.
College Achievements and Pathways
The college also launched a partnership with the Central Coast Mariners that creates a full-time environment for female footballers and a direct route into the Mariners NPLW program. Its girls rugby league side claimed the NSW PCYC Schoolgirls Cup title in September 2025 after a 18-14 win over Westfields Sports High. Student athlete Eliza Familton, aged 17, received a scholarship offer from the Central Coast Mariners Academy during the same stretch of results.
These outcomes occurred against the backdrop of Central Coast Council maintaining 164 sporting areas that host more than 20 codes, with netball remaining one of the most active on the coast.
Venues and Infrastructure in Use
Upgraded amenities at Buff Point and Halekulani Ovals opened for the 2025 winter season after a $2.8 million NSW Government investment that replaced buildings aged 44 and 54 years. Construction continues at Frost Reserve in Kincumber on a new 370 square metre amenities building scheduled for completion in early 2026. Niagara Park Stadium works valued at $2.8 million are set to finish by October 15, improving accessibility ahead of regional and state events.
An $11 million NSW Government project is delivering lighting, drainage and irrigation upgrades at 16 sportsgrounds to extend safe year-round use. A separate $11 million indoor multi-purpose centre at Tuggerah is advancing through stage two funding at the Central Coast Regional Sporting & Recreation Complex.
Users of the Sports Hub directory can locate active programs for youth and families at these sites and others. The next practical step for participants is checking the directory for current registrations and facility access times at the listed ovals and stadiums.
