How to Get Involved in Central Coast Sports and What You Need to Know to Start
Central Coast residents can join dozens of clubs this month with clear registration steps and low entry costs across multiple codes.
How we reported this

Central Coast sports clubs opened winter registration windows on July 1 with more than 4,200 new spots available for adults and juniors across football, rugby and netball.
The timing follows Argentina’s extra-time win in the World Cup quarter-final on July 11, which lifted local interest in team sports at a time when many clubs normally struggle for numbers after the school holidays.
Where to sign up on the Coast
Players can register at the Central Coast Football Association office on Mann Street in Gosford or at the Wyong District Netball Association courts behind the Pacific Highway in Tuggerah. Both sites run weekday evening sessions until 7 pm and accept online forms that take under ten minutes to complete.
Coaches at these venues require only a current Working With Children Check and a basic first-aid certificate, which can be obtained in a single Saturday course at the Erina Leisure Centre for $95.
Costs and timelines to expect
Junior football fees start at $185 for the season ending November 15, while adult rugby league registration at the Central Coast Rugby League costs $240 and includes insurance. Netball teams at the Tuggerah complex charge $165, with an extra $40 for new players who need a uniform.
Numbers from last winter show 1,850 juniors and 920 seniors took part in Central Coast competitions, a figure the governing bodies expect to exceed this year because of the World Cup effect.
Anyone wanting to begin should bring photo ID, proof of address and a medical certificate if they have had an injury in the past twelve months. Sessions begin the week of July 20 at both Gosford and Tuggerah locations, with equipment loans available on the first night for those who do not yet own boots or pads.
