Local side targets deep run with opening match set for Bluetongue Stadium on July 18.

Central Coast FC opens its finals series on July 18 against Newcastle Jets at Bluetongue Stadium after finishing second in the regular season table.
The timing aligns with broader national interest in Australian football following the Wallabies squad announcement and ongoing World Cup preparations. Local fans see the club as a direct beneficiary of renewed interest in domestic leagues, with the team now focused on converting regular-season form into a championship.
Training has centred on the Central Coast Mariners Academy grounds near Mann Street in Gosford, while the squad has used recovery sessions at the Terrigal Beach sports complex run by the Central Coast Sports Council. These sites have hosted twice-weekly drills since early June, allowing coaches to fine-tune set-piece routines ahead of the knockout stage.
The 26-player finals roster includes eight players who featured in national youth programs earlier this year. Average home attendance reached 4,200 across 13 regular-season matches at Bluetongue Stadium, up 18 percent from the prior campaign. Ticket prices for the July 18 quarter-final start at $18 for general admission, with reserved seating at $35.
Defensive records show the side conceded just 19 goals in 26 matches, the second-lowest mark in the competition. Midfield pairings developed at the Gosford facility have produced 62 percent possession averages in away fixtures, a figure tracked through club analytics released last week.
The winner of the July 18 match advances to a semi-final on July 25, either at home or at a neutral venue in Sydney. Supporters can purchase tickets through the club website or at the stadium box office on Mann Street from July 10. Early buyers receive a 10 percent discount on merchandise at the Terrigal retail outlet operated by the Central Coast Sports Council.
Season ticket holders should confirm seat allocations by July 12 to avoid relocation during the playoff window. The club has scheduled two open training sessions at the Gosford academy on July 14 and 16 for members only.
