Median house prices on the Central Coast climbed to $892,000 in the June quarter, up 7 per cent from the same period last year, according to CoreLogic data released this week.
The rise comes as Sydney commuters continue to seek lower-cost options north of the Hawkesbury, pushing demand in established suburbs while new supply lags. Central Coast Council records show 1,240 new dwelling approvals lodged between January and May, yet only 680 reached completion stage amid persistent material shortages.

Transport for NSW passenger counts at Gosford station reached 4,180 weekday boardings in May, a 9 per cent increase on 2025 figures and the highest since pre-pandemic levels.
