New Central Coast Store Openings: What Consumers and Everyday Residents Need to Understand

Three new retail outlets are scheduled to open on Mann Street in Gosford and The Entrance Road in The Entrance by the end of July.

These additions arrive as home prices across the region have declined for three straight quarters, leaving residents with tighter budgets and more incentive to compare value before they spend.

Local sites and timing

The first site sits at 142 Mann Street, next to the Gosford Railway Station entrance, where a hardware and homewares store will stock tools, paint and garden supplies. The second location occupies a former bookshop at 88 The Entrance Road, now fitted out as a discount grocery outlet that will sell packaged goods and fresh produce at fixed weekly prices. Both addresses lie within a five-minute walk of existing bus stops and paid parking lots operated by Central Coast Council.

Residents who live in the nearby suburbs of Wyoming and Long Jetty can reach either spot by the 70 or 78 bus routes without changing services.

Prices and evidence to check

Central Coast Council data released in May showed a 12 percent rise in small-business tenancy applications between January and April this year compared with the same period in 2025. Average weekly rents for ground-floor retail space on Mann Street now sit at $1,150, down from $1,380 twelve months earlier. The new hardware outlet has advertised a basic cordless drill for $79, while the grocery store lists 2-litre milk at $3.20, both figures posted on their websites last week.

Shoppers should compare these prices against the same items at Erina Fair, where a similar drill sells for $94 and milk for $3.60, to decide whether the trip to Gosford or The Entrance saves money after fuel and parking.

Before the first purchases, residents can visit the sites during the soft opening on 18 July to inspect stock quality and ask staff about return policies and loyalty cards.
