Erina Firm AquaAir Solutions Leads Central Coast Push Into Atmospheric Water Capture

AquaAir Solutions installed its first commercial-scale atmospheric water units at a nursery off The Entrance Road in May 2026, delivering 2,800 litres of water per day without drawing from mains or groundwater.
The timing aligns with fresh federal and state interest in non-traditional water sources after the ABC reported on trials using air moisture to grow native seedlings. Central Coast operators face the same dry-season constraints as growers elsewhere, yet they sit inside a commuter belt where housing estates continue to expand and councils tighten outdoor water rules.
Local installations already running
Two sites now operate on the Coast. One unit sits behind the Erina Fair shopping centre, feeding a demonstration garden maintained by the Central Coast Community Environment Network. A second unit was commissioned last month at a smallholding near Avoca Beach that supplies tube stock to Wyong Shire revegetation programs. Both locations use solar arrays mounted on the same frames that hold the condensers, keeping running costs below 18 cents per litre.
Company records show the Erina unit has operated on 312 of the 365 days since commissioning, with maintenance limited to quarterly filter changes. The Avoca Beach installation recorded a 41 percent drop in purchased water invoices between June 2025 and June 2026, according to invoices reviewed by the nursery owner.
Next month AquaAir Solutions will open a two-day workshop at the old Gosford Leagues Club site for landscape contractors and strata managers who want to assess rooftop or courtyard placements. Pre-registration opened this week through the Central Coast Business Chamber portal, with places capped at 45 to keep the sessions hands-on.
